The data will be used to ensure that NRMM used on all developments across London complies with the correct engine emission standard for the area that it is operating in. There are different standards for NRMM used within the central activity zone and Canary Wharf and on other major developments across Greater London.
The data will create a unique resource for London that will add to the understanding of what NRMM equipment is being used, where and for how long, and allow for later assessment to demonstrate the uptake of higher emission standards.
It will also allow for a more accurate London Atmospheric Emission Inventory (LAEI) to be developed which will help to inform air quality policy for London in the future.
